She studied modern and early flutes at the Conservatoires Supérieurs de Musique de Paris and Genève. Her passion for traditional music and dance, nurtured with a strong interest for the Irish flute and frequent Irish pub and Breton fest-noz attendance, has led her over the years towards more archaic musical pitches.
As an active and versatile performer, Anna has gained experience as a soloist and orchestral musician in ensembles such as La Chambre Philharmonique, Le Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Matheus, Le Concert d’Astrée, Orfeo 55, La Grande Écurie et la Chambre du Roy, Insula Orchestra, La Belle Aventure, and Ensemble Nevermind, participating in prestigious festivals such as Ambronay, Royaumont Abbey, Via Stellæ in Santiago de Compostela, and the Utrecht Early Music Festival.
As a member of folk duo Besson-Rio, Anna employs her music as a tool to encourage people to dance. In addition, as an active yoga practitioner she seeks ways to integrate the musical aspects of performance with mind-body awareness.
Winner of the Cziffra Foundation’s annual auditions, she is also supported by the Meyer Foundation and Mécénat Société Générale.
