Swedish pianist Peter Jablonski has been in demand around the globe for nearly three decades as one of the leading classical music performers. His eclectic and extensive repertoire includes over fifty piano concertos by European (including Russian), and American composers and all piano sonatas by Prokofiev.
Praised by Claudio Abbado for his sensitive interpretations, Peter Jablonski is known for his extraordinary breadth of understanding and insight into the piano masterpieces he has been performing on major world stages. He has appeared with world’s leading orchestras that include the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra in St Petersburg, Filarmonica della Scala, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Orchestre National de France, NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Peter Jablonski was awarded the prestigious Edison Award and the Grammophone Classical Music Award for his extensive discography made for Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, and Philips.
In January 2018 he signed a multi-disk recording contract with Ondine, which will include recordings of Scriabin’s complete mazurkas, complete sonatas by Anton Rubinstein, and works by Alexei Stanchinsky.
Peter Jablonski is a Steinway Artist and recipient of the Litteris et Artibus medal for his services to culture, granted to him by the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf. He is also the winner of a prestigious prize Svenskar i Världen (International Swedish Personality of the Year), received before by ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, as well as Astrid Lindgren.
