Two albums released by Warsaw Philharmonic have earned nominations for the prestigious award

We are pleased to announce that two of the CDs released this year by the Warsaw Philharmonic and CD Accord have been nominated for the prestigious ICMA (International Classical Music Awards).

In the 'Concerts' category, the CD Polish Music For Cello and Orchestra - with works for cello and orchestra by Aleksander Tansman, Grażyna Bacewicz, Henryk Hubertus Jabłoński and Miłosz Magin, performed by Marcin Zdunik (cello) and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under Andrzej Boreyko - received a nomination. 

In the 'Choral' category, the nomination went to the recording of Gioachino Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir under Bartosz Michałowski. The solo parts were performed by Joanna Zawartko (soprano), Agnieszka Rehlis (mezzo-soprano), Andrzej Lampert (tenor), Łukasz Goliński (bass), the artists were accompanied by: Ewa Wilczyńska (piano), Agnieszka Kopacka-Aleksandrowicz (piano) and Piotr Wilczyński (harmonium).

The sound engineers of the recordings of both albums are eminent specialists - Andrzej Sasin and Aleksandra Nagórko (CD Accord).
