Pre-Concert Talks
We encourage all music lovers to attend our special lectures at 6.30 p.m. before each Friday symphony concert, in which they will be able to learn more about the works that are to be performed on that particular evening.
These meetings are organised by outstanding Polish musicologists, popular journalists and music critics, who provide fascinating details about, and insights into, the works planned for the upcoming concerts. They illustrate their lectures with selected fragments of recordings. This provides audiences with more knowledge and awareness of the process behind the music they will later hear during the performances themselves.
The lectures are held in the Chamber Music Hall (entrance from ul. Sienkiewicza) and are free for holders of tickets and subscriptions for those particular concerts covered by the lectures (or tickets to their Saturday reprise), as well as for members of the Friends of the Warsaw Philharmonic Club.
Please note: the Pre-Concert Talks are held entirely in Polish.
