In this new concert series, our artists and invited guests will present a variety of programmes which, in an informal, relaxed style, will allow you to experience the concert ritual and enter the Concert Hall in a conscious manner. We will be presenting early music, the roots of our repertoire, as well as choral music – the mystical, secret art of collective singing, which has formed the basis of human expression for centuries. You will also encounter symphonic works, the core of our regular concert work, which stimulate the imagination and emotions. The Thursday Concerts will be shorter than the Warsaw Philharmonic’s standard events, and without an interval.
These ‘smart casual’ encounters at the Warsaw Philharmonic will allow the audience to get used to both the space and concert etiquette. Perhaps to listen to the Orchestra and Choir for the first time, or to discover early music performed on historical instruments? Or perhaps to return to the Concert Hall after a lengthy hiatus? Any reason is good. Everyone is welcome at the Thursday Concerts. Let’s meet at the Philharmonic!
