Adam Sławiński

His experience in music began at the age of 5 in the boys’ choir Lutnia in Warsaw. In the music school of the 1st grade he studied viola and in 2nd grade – piano. Subsequently, he studied musicology at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University and choral conducting at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

He works with many Polish choirs and vocal groups. As a choir member and a soloist he sang hundreds of concerts and recorded dozens of CDs. His specialty is early music, sang as countertenor. His voice may be heard on the album titled Mikołaj Zieleński: Rosarium Virginis Mariae, recorded by early music group La Tempesta, documentary Zieleński: Polychoral Discreetness and on the first Polish studio recording of Georg Friedrich Handel’s Messiah, including him singing the aria Thou shalt break them.

For 15 years he has been artist of the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir, with which he recorded Penderecki conducts Penderecki, awarded with Grammy in „Choral Music” category in 2017.
