Tania Miller

Canadian conductor is known for her “expressive, colourful and full of life” interpretations, where her “experience and charisma are audible”. Former Music Director of Canada’s Victoria Symphony for 14 years (2003–2017), Tania Miller was subsequently named Music Director Emerita for her commitment to the orchestra and community.

Serving as interim Principal Conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2022/2023 season, her current season also features debuts with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, I Musici de Montréal, the New Haven Symphony (CT) and Springfield Symphony (MA). She has conducted the WOS Virtuoso Chamber at the World Orchestra Festival in Daegu, South Korea and the KBS Symphony Orchestra in Seoul, appeared as a guest conductor in Canada, the United States and Europe with such orchestras as the Berner Symphonieorchester, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Ottawa’s National Arts Centre Orchestra, Orchestra Métropolitain de Montréal, Vancouver Symphony, Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Naples Philharmonic, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Madison Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Winnipeg Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic and numerous others.

The previous season, Tania Miller conducted Calgary Opera’s production of Franz Léhar’s Merry Widow and in the following – will lead Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at Vancouver Opera.
