Łukasz Kocur

A graduate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (Faculty of Vocal and Acting Studies), Łukasz Kocur is the winner of the First Prize at the Imrich Godin International Vocal Competition (Vráble, Slovakia), as well as a recipient of the Award of the Mayor of the City of Poznań for promoting culture in Poznań and the region. He has also been awarded a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding academic achievements, and the Wojciech Drabowicz Scholarship for the best student of the Faculty of Vocal and Acting Studies at the Poznań Academy in recognition of his exceptional artistic and academic accomplishments.

From 2014 to 2021, he was a soloist at the Poznań Musical Theatre, where he appeared in numerous productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, The Addams Family, Sister Act, Evita, Jekyll & Hyde, Virtuoso, Fiddler on the Roof, and Hello, Dolly!, as well as in productions for children, such as Koziołek Matołek i zagadka ratuszowej wieży, Madagascar, and Dookoła Karuzeli, czyli dziecko potrafi. He performs in Poland and abroad, including with the Partes Orthodox Chant Chamber Ensemble.

Since 2021, he has been an artist of the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir, where he also appears as a soloist in the cantata-oratorio repertoire (including Israel in Egypt by George Frideric Handel in November 2022).

He currently teaches (musical theatre singing) at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.
