Adrian Janda
Clarinetist, chamber musician and soloist with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Adrian Janda was born in 1979 in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music (now: Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) in Warsaw, where he studied clarinet under the guidance of Mirosław Pokrzywiński. Adrian Janda has collaborated with such orchestras as Sinfonietta Cracovia, the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Sinfonia Varsovia, and the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. He has recorded two albums with Gruppo di Tempera – one featuring French music (DUX, 2015) and the other comprising Polish pieces (Polish Radio, 2018). He has toured as a soloist with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra around the USA, Japan, China, South Korea and Europe. He is a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He has won prizes in clarinet competitions in Ostrava (1995), Piotrków Trybunalski (1997, 2001), Włoszakowice (2003) and other cities.
