Is simply daring to reach for your dreams enough to make them come true? Or is it sometimes better to make a plan and follow it carefully to avoid danger? Our musical production, Icarus’ Wings, takes as its starting point the mythological story of Icarus and Daedalus escaping from Crete. Ambitious and impulsive, Icarus longs to leave the gloomy, monotonous island by taking the most direct route – towards the Sun. His father, together with Ariadne – the voice of reason – warns him against recklessness, being deceived by appearances, and giving in to sudden emotions. Will Icarus heed the warning and, along the way, learn to follow... the music?
