The Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra continues the tradition of chamber music initiated at the beginning of the twentieth century by the first chamber ensembles of the Warsaw Philharmonic, and then developed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, led by Karol Teutsch. The WPCO was established on the centenary of the Warsaw Philharmonic, in 2001, and gave its first concert on 10 February 2002. The ensemble consists of instrumentalists who perform regularly with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and includes members of Teutsch’s ensemble.

Over the years, the WPCO has performed with such artists as Salvatore Accardo, Marek Drewnowski, Urszula Dudziak, Eva Gevorgyan, Evelyn Glennie, Ilya Gringolts, Krzysztof Herdzin, Andrzej Jagodziński, Jakub Jakowicz, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Mischa Maisky, Waldemar Malicki, Shlomo Mintz, Piotr Pławner, Baiba Skride and Agata Szymczewska.

This time, the soloists will be artists from the wind section of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. The audience will have an opportunity to experience the full spectrum of their skills in a wide-ranging repertoire – from Baroque and Classical music to Romantic works. The diverse programme will showcase the artists and invite the audience to experience a wealth of musical emotions.
