Liudmyla Monastyrska’s nearest engagements include, among others, eponymous Turandot in Puccini's opera at Metropolitan Opera in New York, Leonora in Verdi’s La forza del destino at Deutsche Oper Berlin and the eponymous role in Verdi’s Aida at Arena di Verona.
The artist’s current season engagements include Abigaille in Nabucco at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, title part in Aida (Teatro San Carlo in Naples) and Lady Macbeth in Verdi’s Macbeth (Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and at the Opera Gala concerts at Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin).
In 2019/2020 season, her big successes were Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore at Teatro alla Scala, Abigaille in Nabucco at Staatsoper Hamburg, Odabella in Verdi’s Attila with Münchener Runfunkorchester as well as a debut as Tosca in Puccini’s opera at Teatro dell Opera di Roma, among others.
She started the 2018/2019 season with the new productions of La forza del destino at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, performed in Tosca at Gran Teatre del Liceu (Opera Barcelona) and Deutsche Oper Berlin and as Abigaille in Nabucco at Wiener Staatsoper.
In 2017/2018 season, Liudmyla Monastyrska debuted in Los Angeles Opera as Abigaille in Nabucco with Plácido Domingo, at Houston Grand Opera as Norma (in Bellini’s opera) and as Manon Lescaut (in Puccini’s opera) at Gran Teatre del Liceu. The artist toured through Japan singing the role of Lady Macbeth in Verdi’s Macbeth with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden under the baton of Antonio Pappano.
