The hero of this concert will be one of the greatest composers of Baroque music: Johann Sebastian Bach. We’ll learn about his childhood in Eisenach, his travels as a young man and the years he spent as a mature musician with his large family in Leipzig. During the concert, besides a soprano voice, you’ll be hearing instruments from the Baroque era – violin and harpsichord. The musicians will be performing Bach’s most famous and best loved works, as well as minor pieces which the composer wrote with his own children and young pupils in mind. This musical tale will be illustrated by genre scenes performed by dancers in period costumes.
