Carnival, which in Poland is known as “zapusty”, is the period between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday. For centuries, it has been known as a time of parties and feasts. Our carnival concert will abound in rhythms and dances, and the stage will be turned into the streets of pre-war Warsaw filled with dancers, a vocalist, instrumentalists, and… our little music lovers. Our journey through the capital’s streets and courtyards, theatres and cafés will be accompanied by cheerful music for clarinet and piano, songs from pre-war movies and a simple girl dreaming of great fame. Where is she going? Who will she meet on her way? Come to the Philharmonic and find out for yourself.
