Adam Palka’s current season sees him as Filippo II in Giuseppe Verdi’s Don Carlo, Oroveso in Vincenzo Bellini’s Norma at Staatsoper Stuttgart, Méphistophéles in Charles Gounod’s Faust with Canadian Opera Company, Timur in Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot and Gremin in Pyotr Tchaykovsky’s Eugene Onegin at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, in title part in Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele at Staatsoper Stuttgart and National Theatre in Prague, as Méphistophéles in Gounod’s Faust, Don Basilio in Gioachino Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and Vodnik in Antonín Dvořák’s Rusalka at Wiener Staatsoper, as well as in solo part in Verdi’s Requiem with St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, as Count Walter in Verdi’s Luisa Miller at Staatsoper Hamburg, and in a return to the Royal Opera House in London as Timur in Turandot.
Adam Palka has been performing on many prestigious opera stages in the world presenting roles such as Boris in Modest Musorgski’s Boris Godunov at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Leporello in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Staatsoper Berlin, Méphistophéles in Faust at Staatsoper Hamburg, Staatsoper Stuttgart and Grand Théâtre de Geneve, Commendatore in Don Giovanni at the Royal Opera House and Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Fafner in Richard Wagner’s Das Rheingold, Rodolfo in Bellini’s La sonnambula, Escamillo in Georges Bizet’s Carmen, Timur in Turandot at Teatro Real in Madrid, Raimondo in Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Skula in Alexander Borodin’s Prince Igor at Opéra national de Paris, Colline in Puccini’s La Boheme and Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at Bayerische Staatsoper and Teatro Real in Madrid, Alidoro in Rossini’s La Cenerentola at Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
On the concert stage, Adam Palka has performed Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Beethoven’s Missa solemnis with Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra and Verdi’s Requiem with Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse at Philharmonie de Paris, among others.
Adam Palka graduated from the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and was a member of the Opera Studio at Opernhaus Zürich.
