Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk, in September 2023 will perform in six cities in China: Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.
The soloist in all six concerts on this tour will be Sa Chen, a Chinese pianist who won fourth place at the 14th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in 2000 and was part of the jury at the 18th edition of the Competition in 2021.
The Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra will present Chinese audiences with the Adagietto from Krzysztof Penderecki's opera Paradise Lost, Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor 'From the New World' and the Piano Concertos of Fryderyk Chopin: in E minor, Op. 11 (in Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Beijing) and in F minor, Op. 21 (in Wuhan, Guangzhou and Shanghai).
